Navigating ethics processes
Jo will present on navigating formal ethics approval processes for evaluations:
1. when do you need them?
2. How do you interpret the National Statement?
3. How do you work with HRECs (Human Research Ethics Committees)?
During the session, Jo will ensure there will be lots of time for discussion on your own ethics highs and lows.
About the Presenter
Jo Farmer is an independent evaluator, with an interest in trauma-informed and lived experience-led evaluation. Jo's work focuses on trauma, mental distress and family violence.
In addition to delivering evaluations, Jo is currently undertaking a PhD at the University of Melbourne focused on improving ethical research practices with young people.
This free event has been organised by the AES Victoria Regional Network. Our seminar series provides an opportunity for you to meet with AES members and others in the evaluation community and to share and learn from the experiences of fellow evaluators.
