Event description:

What makes a good evaluation report? Our two presenters will be answering this question from two perspectives: as clients of evaluations and as evaluators. Drawing on their extensive experience in commissioning and conducting evaluations, they will discuss some tips and pitfalls in preparing evaluation reports.

The seminar participants will also have the opportunity to provide insights into what makes a good evaluation report ... or not!

Presenter details:

Ben is the Senior Manager, Safer People at the NSW Centre for Road Safety. He has worked in evaluation for most of his professional career, first as a private sector consultant, and then in government, both as an internal evaluator and a buyer of evaluation. He has also been an independent expert on large-scale evaluations for the Department of Communities and Justice, and for Aboriginal Affairs. So he has written or read his fair share of evaluation reports, and has some issues he wants to work through!
Greg is the Director of Nexus Management Consulting which, among other things, has been conducting evaluations of services and programs for over 28 years. He was previously senior consultant in the former Program Evaluation Unit in the NSW Government and managed an internal evaluation unit in a large NSW government agency. He has learned a lot about writing good, and bad, evaluation reports over that time.

This seminar will not be recorded.

This free event has been organised by the NSW Regional Network of the AES. Our seminar series provides an opportunity for you to meet with AES members and others in the evaluation community and to share and learn from the experiences of fellow evaluators. Please ensure you have access to your email address to receive the zoom details.
