The AES invites you to join a facilitated online networking session to catch up with your colleagues in the evaluation field. This is an opportunity to meet new people from across the AES membership base as well as the wider evaluation community and to discuss several key issues facing evaluation and evaluators, such as:

  1. Adjusting to new ways of working
  2. Challenges overcome and lessons learned
  3. Reflective networking

Facilitators will be from the AES regional committees and the free sessions will be hosted via Zoom. AES members and the wider evaluation community are welcome to join our new series of engagement sessions.

Session overview

The Emerging Evaluators for Social Justice SIG is hosting an engagement session on how to write a good evaluation report with Anne Markiewicz to discuss what a good evaluation report looks like and the key steps to creating a report that is fit-for-purpose and rigorous.

Who should attend

People who are interested in evaluation, or emerging evaluators who have not yet written an evaluation report or who have written a couple of reports. Other participants are welcome if they want to brush up on their report writing skills.

About the facilitator

Anne Markiewicz is the Director of Anne Markiewicz and Associates, a consultancy that specialises in the delivering of training, mentoring and capacity building in monitoring and evaluation. Anne is the co-author of the text book ‘Developing Monitoring and Evaluation Frameworks’ (SAGE 2016). She has extensive experience in the design and implementation of monitoring and evaluation systems for a wide range of different initiatives, building the capacity of organisations to plan for monitoring and evaluation. Anne has been an evaluator for over 20 years and has been recognised by the Australasian Evaluation Society through receipt of a number of awards for excellence in evaluation and she is a Fellow of the Society. Anne has trained in evaluation extensively in Australasia, the Pacific, the United Kingdom and the USA.
