This is a free seminar organised by the VIC branch of the AES. Our monthly seminar series provides an opportunity for you to meet with AES members and others in Victoria and to share and learn from the experiences of fellow evaluators. Members are encouraged to bring along colleagues with an interest in the topic even if they are not yet members of the AES.
Martin and Damien will discuss some of the similar and unique challenges of evaluating Climate Change Adaptation (CCA) and Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) projects in the South Pacific. Short case studies featuring the Global Climate Change Alliance: Pacific Small Islands States program and the Pacific Adaptation to Climate Change (PACC) program will be used to highlight these challenges. An overview of the Vanuatu Resilience Framework will illustrate efforts that are being made to make climate change adaptation and disaster risk reduction evaluations more robust. Participants will be asked to share any relevant evaluation experiences and propose solutions to the challenges proposed.
This event also marks the end of year celebration for the Victorian Seminar Series. Come along and meet other Victorian evaluators and share your ideas for the 2018 Seminar Series
